The downtown area has a population of around 24,000 people, with 75 new residential projects in the initial stages on the drawing boards. When these projects are completed downtown San Diego real estate is expected to have an additional 9,000 new condominiums, apartments, town homes, row houses and loft homes by 2008. Many more people will be able to fulfill their dreams of owning San Diego property.
